One conversation.
A clearer view.

Our panel keeps evolving. Options and profession-specific offers depend on our current panel, lender criteria and your circumstances.

RATES, WITH CONTEXT

A rate is only
part of the picture.

A useful starting point for a conversation. The right loan also depends on its costs, features and your circumstances.

Personal-loan example

Start with the loan type.

Interest rate

5.95% p.a.

Comparison rate*

5.95% p.a.

Personal finance and home loans have different costs and conditions. A headline number only makes sense with its loan type, fees and features.

Comparison rate warning: *Based on an unsecured loan of $30,000 over 5 years. This comparison rate is true only for the example given and may not include all fees and charges. Different terms, fees or other loan amounts might result in a different comparison rate. Illustrative personal-loan example only; not a home-loan rate or an offer of credit. Terms and conditions apply.

Cashback example

Look past the
upfront incentive.

Cashback can be part of a home-loan conversation. What matters is whether the whole loan stacks up.

Up to$4,000*

On eligible home loans at 80% LVR or below.

*Example from our home-loan material, not a current offer or a guarantee. Availability, minimum loan amounts, lender eligibility, settlement dates and other conditions must be confirmed. Consider fees, rates and switching costs against any cashback. Terms and conditions apply.

Look at the rate, fees and features together. What matters is how the whole loan fits your plans.

HOW THE CONVERSATION WORKS

A clearer path.
One step at a time.

You don't need to know every answer before you begin. Start with what you're planning.

  1. 01

    Start with you.

Your plans, your circumstances and the questions on your mind.

  2. 02

    Understand the options.

Discuss the information needed, the costs to consider and what matters to you in a loan.

  3. 03

    Choose your next step.

Understand the proposed steps, with time to ask questions before deciding to proceed.

A LITTLE MORE CLARITY

Good questions.
A useful place
to start.

Home loans come with a lot of information. Start with a few things worth understanding.

What does a mortgage broker do?

A mortgage broker helps you understand and compare home-loan options through the lenders they work with, and explains the steps involved in applying. Ask which lenders they can access, how they are paid and what costs you may need to consider.

What should I compare beyond the interest rate?

Look at the overall cost, fees, repayment options and features you expect to use. An offset account or the ability to make extra repayments may matter to you, but the right combination depends on your circumstances.

What if my income includes overtime or allowances?

Start by explaining how you work and how you are paid. Income assessment and documentation requirements differ between lenders. A conversation can help establish what information is needed to explore your options.

Is it worth reviewing my current loan?

Begin with what you want to change. Consider the interest rate, ongoing fees, features and any costs of switching before deciding whether to proceed. Refinancing does not automatically mean a lower overall cost.

Do doctors have different home-loan options?

Some lenders have profession-specific criteria. Ask what applies to your registration, income, deposit and loan purpose. Being a doctor does not, by itself, establish eligibility for a particular loan or policy.
